Inverness Walking Tour

As a welcome to the capital of the Highlands, you will enjoy spending an hour and a half wandering around the centre of town learning about its long and turbulent history.

From the mysterious predictions of our very own Nostradamus, the Brahan Seer, and the dog that flew over the river on the destruction of the castle to the remarkable meeting of the British Cabinet here in 1921 you will be surprised and entertained by the events that have occurred within this small but exciting city. You will also discover that some of the darker history, the involvement in slavery in the nineteenth century and the aftermath of the last Jacobite uprising in 1746, is history that cannot be ignored.

Above all though it will give you a taste of the true diversity of life here in the North Highlands and leave you wanting to discover more.
